 Raising Presence UK exists to spread the practice of adult presence through Non-Violent Resistance (NVR). We believe that relationships can be transformed when adults show up with calm, consistency, and courage.

 Non-Violent Resistance (NVR), pioneered by Professor Haim Omer and developed further by Dr. Peter Jakob, is an approach that empowers adults to resist escalation, de-escalate conflict, and rebuild relationships with children and young people. Rather than focusing on control or punishment, NVR builds presence, resilience, and support networks around families and organisations.
